Spring is finally here!  Well, I guess Summer is just around the corner, too.  It seems like it took forever for Spring to actually arrive in full swing, and now we're already preparing to head into the heat of summer!

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, we missed the regular May meeting.  Instead of trying to schedule a meeting now, only a few weeks before the next general meeting, I'm going to be calling committee chairs to see if we can get some committee meetings to occur.  Our committees all have a lot of good ideas and some good people to work on them, but I think that we need some time to get focused and officially push forward with some of these ideas. 

One plan that we've all had in mind for a little while now is to get some beautification projects moving in the area.  We have some sketchy plans and have already moved forward with requesting permission to work in some areas on city-owned property, but we need to sit down and formalize our plans so that we can figure out how much everything is going to cost and figure out exactly what permissions we need for the areas where we want to operate.  This is going to require getting our landscaping experts together with the beautification committee and probably some members of the board so that everything can happen.
