Hello everyone! Just a note to let you know that our next general meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 23, 2008. It should be at 7:00PM at the United Presbyterian Church at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street. As usual, the front and side doors will not be open for our meeting. Come around to the rear of the building and enter the social hall directly through the doors at the back. This is partly for safety, as we cannot monitor all of the doors at the same time. We hope to see everyone there!
If anyone is interested in helping to get our Neighborhood Watch effort moving, the New Kensington Neighborhood Watch meeting is this Thursday at 7:00PM at City Hall in council chambers. The New Kensington Neighborhood Watch meeting comprises Neighborhood Watch groups from all over the New Kensington area. The meeting serves to assist in coordination and organization of Neighborhood Watch activities throughout the city. If you are going, please let Jonathan Woytek know!

Spring is finally here! Well, I guess Summer is just around the corner, too. It seems like it took forever for Spring to actually arrive in full swing, and now we're already preparing to head into the heat of summer!
The Parnassus Civic League has implemented a number of different committees. Each committee is focused on an area of work in the neighborhood. They are, in no specific order:

The Parnassus Civic League is an neighborhood association comprised of homeowners and business owners in the Parnassus area of New Kensington, PA. We are dedicated to enhancing our neighborhood for ourselves and our future generations, and to preserving the history that got us to where we are now. We work with local government, business owners, property owners, and other organizations to carry out our mission and to provide a great place to live and work.
